I have 24 years experience in psychotherapy working as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

I worked as a Psychiatric Social Worker at The Jewish Board of Family & Children's Services in the Bronx from 1991-1995, and then at a mental health clinic in Brooklyn until 2003.  I served as faculty member with the Brooklyn Institute for Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis for 6 years. During this time, I developed a private psychotherapy practice in Downtown Brooklyn where I see adults, adolescents, and children.

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from New York University and Master of Social Work Degree at Hunter College School of Social Work.   While working at The Jewish Board, I received a Psychotherapy Training Certification for my work focusing on analytic principles of treatment with adolescents and their families. I've also completed advanced course work in Group Therapy at the Center for The Advancement of Group Studies and in group relations at the A.K. Rice Institute. I am a Board Certified Diplomat and also have a certification as a substance abuse professional for the State of New York which allows me to provide state-required substance abuse evaluations and treatment.

Prior to obtaining my professional degree, I worked in fields related to my current practice. I was a rehab counselor at FountainHouse in the late 1980s providing counseling and group mileau therapy to a schizophrenic population and then a career counselor at New York University helping students develop their career paths.

When I'm not working, I enjoy gardening, design, photography, and sports.
